Fahrzeughistorie:

Ab Juli 1995 wurde der Jaguar XJS 4.0 Serie 3 exklusiv in der "Celebration"-Ausstattung, mit dem souveränen AJ 16 Reihensechszylinder Motor, gebaut. Das Sondermodell "Celebration" wurde in Erinnerung an die 60er Jahre zurückliegende erstmalige Verwendung des Namens Jaguar produziert. Nun gab es wieder verchromte Spiegel und Scheinwerferumrandungen, erstmals seitliche von Hand gemalte Zierstreifen (Coachlines) sowie neue, fast ganzflächige Räder mit 11 Speichen. Alle bisherigen Extras, bis auf Bordcomputer und Hochdruckscheinwerferreinigungsanlage, waren bei dieser Sonderedition nun serienmäßig ab Werk verbaut. Der Innenraum wurde nochmals durch einen Lederlenkradkranz, der zum Teil aus Holz bestand, und einen Automatikwählhebel aus Holz aufgewertet. Dieses Fahrzeug haben wir vor 7 Jahren an den jetzigen Eigentümer verkauft. Drei Jahre zuvor wurde er aus den USA importiert und hier in Düsseldorf zugelassen. Das Cabriolet befindet sich in einem sehr schönen Zustand und ist nach einigen Investitionen startklar für die Saison 2024.

Vehicle history:

From July 1995, the Jaguar XJS 4.0 Series 3 was built exclusively in the "Celebration" configuration, with the superior AJ 16 in-line six-cylinder engine. The special "Celebration" model was produced to commemorate the first use of the Jaguar name in the 1960s. Now there were again chrome-plated mirrors and headlight surrounds, hand-painted decorative stripes (coachlines) on the sides for the first time and new, almost full-surface wheels with 11 spokes. All previous extras, with the exception of the on-board computer and high-pressure headlight cleaning system, were now fitted as standard ex works in this special edition. The interior was further upgraded with a leather steering wheel rim, which was partly made of wood, and a wooden automatic gear selector lever. We sold this vehicle to the current owner 7 years ago. Three years earlier, it was imported from the USA and registered in Düsseldorf. This convertible is in a very nice condition and is ready for the 2024 season.
