1965 Aston Martin DB5

This car has been delivered new to Mr.Abner J. Kupperman in New York City in April 1965.
Mr. Kupperman ordered the car especially in black with black Connolly VM8500 , Normal air conditioning , tinted windows , heated rear screen and the ultra rare option of two detachable headrests in black to front seats.
This type of car should not have suited Mr. Kupperman because he sold it 4 months later to a certain Mr. Charles Klein who used it sparingly. Indeed, a ship's document from June 1970 informs us that the DB5 had traveled only 10,600 miles on this date!
After Mr. Klein's death, his widow then sold the car in June 1996 to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson of Illinois. The latest registration title informs us that Mr and Mrs Thompson sold the DB5 on September 13, 2007 with only 28,360 original miles!
The car then joined a very important collection of several hundred vehicles where it remained completely static until spring 2023.
Restarting the vehicle was carried out with the greatest care by a specialist mechanic from the brand in Belgium.
The brakes have been completely refurbished, the same goes for the carburetion, the exhaust line, etc...
The engine starts at a quarter turn and the car moves on the road with smoothness and precision. This is an exceptional original condition, a rare and attractive color combination, retains its original paintwork (never repainted) but above all an Aston Martin DB5 having covered only 31,000 miles since leaving the factory in 1965!
