The Lamborghini Diablo SE30 is already an icon among supercars, but the prototype described here, with an impressive supercharger upgrade, adds an extra dimension of performance to this exclusive vehicle. The prototype, featuring a unique dark purple special paint, is truly one-of-a-kind and represents the creativity and passion of the developers at Lamborghini Hoecker in Landau, in collaboration with the Lamborghini factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese. At that time, Lamborghini was internally discussing the development of a turbocharged engine, as the performance of competing vehicles such as the Jaguar XJ220 and the Bugatti EB110 was highly regarded. Based on Hoecker's extensive experience, a partnership project was thus initiated.

Originally, the Lamborghini Diablo SE30 was delivered from the factory with 525 horsepower. However, Prototype No. 56 has been equipped with a supercharger upgrade, boosting its power to an impressive 634 horsepower. This modification was developed by Lamborghini Hoecker, while the fine-tuning of the software and other hardware was handled by the Lamborghini factory.

The vehicle development was carried out by Mr. Hans Schäfer and Mr. Karl Falkenstein, with only two vehicles of this prototype produced in total—one in silver and the other in dark purple. The latter was painted in a unique Porsche color exclusively used for this model. The two customers, Klaus Uhlenbrock and Rolf Becker, decided to participate in the project because neither of them received a Jota kit. Later considerations for mass production were made, but the development took too long, and due to the later sale to Audi, mass production was no longer realized.

The conversion to the supercharger cost around 200,000 Marks at that time, in addition to the vehicle's base price. After Mr. Hoecker's passing in 2000, the vehicle was sold to another German Carcollector in 2006 and has since changed hands between collections. In 2015, the engine was overhauled, and the vehicle now has only 34,600 km on the odometer. Unfortunately, on December 6, 2023, the initial owner, Mr. Klaus Uhlenbrock, passed away; the exact cause is still unknown.

Now owned by the second owner again, who was a friend of the first owner and has known the car since day one, the car is considered one of the fastest Lamborghini Diablos globally. The vehicle has been sparingly driven in recent years and is in excellent condition. Various modifications have been made, including the integration of McLaren F1 brakes, a specially adapted engine control for the supercharger, a carbon intake for the supercharger's air duct, and a speedometer reaching up to 400 km/h.

Valentino Balboni, a legendary figure at Lamborghini, test-drove the vehicles at the Sant'Agata factory in Italy. He remains highly impressed with the performance of these engines to this day.
